The Forty-Love quilt is a modern tennis-inspired design featuring a pieced tennis ball sitting on the court. Half rectangle triangles are used to create movement and a striping effect similar to the appearance of grass tennis courts. Both yardage and Fat Quarter friendly, this pattern comes in two sizes: Throw and Twin. For the intermediate quilter, techniques include half rectangle triangles, quarter square triangles, strip piecing and piecing long borders. Video instructions are included for making and trimming the half rectangle triangles.
