I was introduced to the fabric industry in 2015 and was amazed at what I never knew existed. After four years of travelling to visit my customers in British Columbia and Alberta, I have also seen amazing wildlife, scenery and places I didn't even know were part of these provinces in Canada. I feel the people I visit are really friends, not just customers, and I value these relationships and look forward to seeing and visiting them all.

I began my career in the design field. Working in architecture firms, I specialized in hospitality, healthcare and historic restoration projects. Later I went into construction sales – mostly selling windows and doors but also other types of building materials. Working for EE Schenck, I get to build on my sales experience while letting my creative side follow my hobbies and passions. My very frst sewing related project was when I was in the 1st grade – it was a leather cover for a little paperback bible. I was so proud of it. Around 9, my grandmother gave me an embroidery kit to make a handkerchief with little purple fowers. In my 8th grade Home EC class, I learned how to sew. For years I made my own clothes and later made various home décor items such as; curtains, pillow covers, wall hangings, table runners, etc. I've also explored other sewing related crafts such as; appliqué, needlepoint, cross-stitch, crochet, quilting, etc. My new passion this year is knitting – 2 projects down and a lot more to do.

I first learned to sew in Junior High in Home Economics Class making some simple garments but I didn’t start quilting until a few decades later. I picked up sewing again when I wanted to sew a receiving blanket and burp bibs for a coworker's baby shower gift. My friend Gen, guided me with this task and told me that I needed a better sewing machine before she would teach me anything else. I bought myself a Bernina QE for Christmas in 2007 and started taking beginner quilting/sewing classes. In the classes, I loved seeing the same project sewn from different fabrics. It was color therapy and a wonderful diversion from my bureaucratic day job. Eventually I started making display table runners for a local store becoming addicted to fabric. I asked to go to the Quilt Market with the owner and she suggested that I consider being a fabric sales representative. My independent wholesale fabric representative business was launched in May 2016 and I went to my first quilt market which was in Salt Lake City. I consider my sales job as a partnership between myself, the client and the manufacturer/distributor. My job is to help my clients be successful in their business. I do my best to relay information to my clients about offerings from the companies that I represent. I am happy to now have access to the thousands of notions and other products available from EE Schenck. I look forward to better serving my clients because of access to all these products.

I'm all about fabric, sewing, and getting creative! I have been sewing and crafting pretty much my whole life I made my first two-piece blouse from curtains when I was 10. I Attended Upholstery Trade School in Tacoma and worked on boat and auto upholstery in the early 80's. In 2020 I left the home improvement business after 20 years and decided to chase my passion. I have worked at a sewing machine/fabric store and still get to be a sew-fun consultant twice a year. I am thrilled to begin my journey as an EE Schenck Representative. I started at E.E Schenck Co. in the office long before we had computers, when all the invoicing, orders and receiving were done with pen and paper. At the beginning of my career, I did everything from customer service and the order desk to sampling and making fat quarter bundles. After 20 years in the Seattle area as a sales rep, I am now enjoying the Portland territory. Many changes in fabrics and techniques have occurred through the years. Through it all, I still love my customers and my job!

I am a New Jersey native and love the East Coast. I have been sewing since I was 8 years old and have had my hands in most things fiber related since then. Most recently I was a quilt shop owner for 14 years in southern NJ. I was a Brother, Bernina and Handiquilter dealer during that time as well as a Kimberbell Certified Dealer. I have taught at both my own shop and other shops I over the years. I am excited to share this knowledge with customers in my region and help you to further your business with great products and customer service. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me spending time with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Major, planning my next travel adventure, or sitting at the piano. As an award-winning pianist, music has been an important part of my life and continues to inspire me both personally and professionally. I possess a great passion for textiles as well as all the textile arts. My great dream as a child was to become "a fashion designer" and accomplished this with international award-winning designs in the Art to Wear realm. I have taught sewing at the local community college since 2002, been a guest speaker and presenter at numerous guilds across the country, and have sewn everything from tutus to home dec and between! I am an active participant in my local arts community. I learned all about quilting while working at a local shop, working in customer service, and in making a quilts, from the cutting to the binding. I am looking forward to creating new relationships with customers and bringing the best in fabrics and all things sewing to your shops.

Schenk I managed a quilt shop for three years, after nearly a decade of sales management in the tech-retail space. I like to joke that my hobby is collecting new hobbies, but the earliest ones I can remember are learning to crochet granny-squares and handpiece log cabin blocks with my mom. I still love to do both, though I've upgraded to a sewing machine these days!

I have been in the creative world since I was young and that included several years participating in 4-H fairs and style shows, Make It With Wool contests and general sewing of clothing. I also assisted my mom in her fabric store as a teenager. I transitioned to quilting when my oldest son was a baby by making him his first quilt. There has been a lot of learning since then! I worked for Hancock Fabrics for 8 years (6 as a manager), then moved into professional longarm quilting. For the last 22 years, I owned a quilt shop in Billings, MT that my mom and I opened in 2002. I was a Brother sewing machine dealer, a Quiltworx Certified Instructor and Shop as well as taught classes and vended at events. I’m a Midwest native who now proudly calls the desert home. As a Sales Representative, I enjoy building relationships and helping customers find the right products and solutions for their projects. My passion for creativity extends beyond work and into many different crafts, including home décor, gift-making, vinyl crafts, and wood burning. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my Standard Poodles, attending a live event of any variety from sports, music or chasing my next adventure. I love anything creative and have been quilting since 2003. I've worked at quilt shops and a fabric/pattern company, taught classes, lectured at quilt guilds and was a co-founder of a guild. I also spent many years designing and making figure skating costumes. My background includes publishing and Information Technology. I love connecting with people and helping make their visions come true! When not helping customers, you'll find me painting, playing the bass guitar, or gluing something together!
