Smooth, tight-weave, medium-weight canvas originally used for Army Tents. Used for tote bags, tarps, awnings, tents, outdoor boat covers, and paintings. The tight weave of the Army Duck makes it strong and resistant to tearing. It is one of the stronger Duck cloths. Duck is classified according to weight in a numerical system, with grade 1 the heaviest and grade 12 the lightest variety. It is woven with two yarns together in the warp and a single yarn in the weft.
