EE Schenck Company, a recognized leader in high quality fabrics and notions for over a century, is looking for a full-time Notions Receiving Clerk for our warehouse on Swan Island. As a key member of our team, you will receive incoming notions freight, verify stock against Purchase Orders or other sales documents, then assist with unpacking, sorting and stocking inventory in a timely manner, monitoring inventory once stocked.
The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and Word), be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience in receiving/inventory and working in a warehouse environment is helpful but not required.

Job duties of this position:

  • Receive and prioritize incoming notions freight for receiving.
  • Verify stock against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Work with the Receiving/Inventory Lead on stocking of received goods in warehouse.
  • Assist in rearranging warehouse storage to accommodate new items received – changing shelf height, moving racks, etc.
  • Monitor inventory, moving or removing overstock items.
  • Occasionally convert case products to single inventory items.
  • Periodically re-package or relabel products.
  • Assist other warehouse departments as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Detail oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to work independently

This position has a regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:30. Some overtime may be required depending on volume of work and customer shopping events.
