Notions/Fabric Inventory Clerk
EE Schenck Company, a recognized leader in high quality fabrics and notions for over a century, is looking for a full-time Notions/Fabric Inventory Clerk for our warehouse on Swan Island. As a key member of our Inventory team, you will receive incoming fabric, ensuring that it is processed and entered into inventory in a timely manner as well as assist with fabric precut inventory.
The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and Word), be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience in receiving/inventory and working in a warehouse environment is helpful but not required.
Job duties of this position:
- Accept deliveries, checking product for damage and piece counts
- If product has not been pre-received, enter inventory into receiving program
- Label product with correct SKU/item description
- Empty containers with overseas freight
- Troubleshoot and investigate any discrepancies
- Move pallets, boxes and racks to accommodate flow of inventory
- Maintain POS report and fix discrepancies
- Stock shelves and maintain available inventory for fabric precuts
- Stock shelves with recently received inventory
- Track and research sold inventory for fabric precuts
- Fix miscellaneous issues such as missing fabric (MIAs), missing labels, misplaced inventory
- Move pallets, boxes and racks to accommodate flow of inventory
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work
- Possess basic math skills
- Basic computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn programs quickly
- Possess some knowledge of receiving process
This position has a regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:30. Some overtime may be required depending on volume of work and customer shopping events.
