I love developing relationships with my customers - when I get in the van to hit the road I feel like I'm on my way to visit friends. I enjoy finding what my customers need and helping them with …If you really knew me, you would know that… the only thing I don't love about being a road rep is leaving my fur babies behind!

I have been in the quilting industry for over 15 years and love it. I bring to my customers my love of quilting, some great ideas, samples, and the best products in the industry. My goal is to help my customers grow their business by showing them the latest fabrics, notions, books, patterns, notions and fun add on's. When I'm not on the road I use my creative side to make some fancy sugar cookies and I find new projects on Pinterest that I actually make!

I began garment sewing 17 years ago, then added quilting not long after. I love working with my customers and their stores, they are my best inspiration. Our industry is full of individuals with great personalities and creative insights. Being on the cutting edge of the "latest and greatest" fabric and notions is exciting and also extremely fulfilling. When I'm not sitting at my machine, I can be found walking my English Bull dog, or admiring the nearest Victorian house.

I have been in the quilting business since 1992 and with EE Schenck Co. helping customers grow their business since 2006. I love my job. Here are a couple of my favorite things about being an Account Manager:
1) Helping my customers to achieve their goals, they give me inspiration on a daily basis.
2) The beauty of the countryside that makes up my territory.
Being a Road Warrior is a strange way of life, but rewarding in so many ways.

The most interesting part of being a sales rep is seeing the wide range of creativity from the stores I visit, everyone does something different with every fabric line. I enjoy all the inspiration and working with a wide range of customers. I have a large geographic area to cover on the road, so hand embroidery and my ipod keep me going. Many a road crew has seen me working on my latest project while I wait for them to let me get to my next appointment.

I started at E.E Schenck Co. in the office long before we had computers, when all the invoicing, orders and receiving were done with pen and paper. At the beginning of my career, I did everything from customer service and the order desk to sampling and making fat quarter bundles. After 20 years in the Seattle area as a sales rep, I am now enjoying the Portland territory. Many changes in fabrics and techniques have occurred through the years. Through it all, I still love my customers and my job!

It is a privilege to show fabric, notions and patterns when they are introduced -- that's my favorite part of being a rep. I strive to help my customers be more successful in their business. One way is to make small project samples or create demos to help customers sell notions, patterns and fabric lines. My favorite project each year is to make Christmas jammies for my grandchildren--8 and counting.

I have been with EE Schenck Company since 2011, working in various warehouse departments, customer service, and sales. Making customers happy and helping their business succeed makes my job most rewarding. I also enjoy golf, country music and spending time with my wife.

I have the best territory with the world’s greatest customers. There are so many people in this industry who are very talented, creative and a lot of fun. I like the independence of being a sales rep. In my spare time, I enjoy boating with my grandkids.

Getting to know and work with my customers is my favorite part of selling in this industry. Getting to work with fabric is the icing on the cake. Traveling is an adventure for me, I love seeing places I would never have known about. My hobbies involve learning about history and objects of the past. I collect antique quilts and fabric.
Being the youngest of 3 girls, I was exposed to fabric and fiber arts as a young child. I learned to knit and crochet at 5 and was making doll clothes out of the scrapes of my older sisters sewing projects. In High School and College, I sewed most of my own clothes and made custom wedding dresses. I never seemed to be without my sewing machine. I continued to sew and into my 40’s, was introduced to quilting and opened a quilt store soon after. Then the opportunity to sell fabrics and notions came along with the E E Schenck Co. I love the opportunity to see what great shops there are here in the Last Frontier and to help our customers be successful. In my spare time, I show my AKC registered Siberian Huskies.

After years of being a quilter and working in a quilting store my true calling came to life when I hit the road for EE Schenck Company. I love helping shop owners find the perfect project that will fly off the shelf. I adore being on the road, seeing places I would not otherwise get a chance to go visit. And when the weather is mild, I bring my boxer, Apollo. He is the best co-pilot, just sits back, stays quiet and enjoys the ride.

I worked as a fabric stylist and taught quilting for years so I love seeing the endless variety of ways my customers merchandise the fabrics and products that I sell. Quilt and sewing stores have a special group of people; it is such fun meeting and getting to know each of my customers. English paper piecing is currently my passion; so easy to do when I am on the road. I listen to audible books to keep me awake and entertained as I drive throughout my territory, but I do love coming home to my little dog.

For as long as I can remember, fabric has been a rich part of my life, from asking my mom to teach me how to use her cabinet model Singer (my first project was a super-hero cape made out of an old towel) to learning how to read patterns and making shirts for myself and gifts for my friends in high school, teaching inner-city youth to sew in Chicago, designing and building costumes for theatres and a constume rental house, and working as a District Manager for a national fabric chain. Now I get to share the joy of fabrics with an increadible variety of quilters, sewers, shop owners, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers, helping them build their businesses and learning from their experience along the way. AND I get to drive around in a Dodge Caravan packed full of fabric. Does life get any better than that?

I have been sewing since I could reach a pedal or hold a needle, professionally since 4th grade. My experience is in sales & design in accessories, office interiors, quilts & clothing. I have been the owner of a successful quilt shop and an instructor of quilting, knitting and sewing. Schenck brings all my experience & business builder ideas, combined with their vast inventory, designs and customer service to a different audience each day. My personal favs are hand work, teaching & color theory/application. In my spare time I love to appliqué, knit and spend time with family. p>

About Mary Anne:
As a long time EESCO sales rep, the thing that keeps me motivated is variety. The product is constantly changing. Working to meet the wide variety of customer needs is rewarding. The geography of my territory is diverse and beautiful to drive through. When time allows, I spend time in my garden and my sewing studio. Both pursuits have amazing similarities. Each involves color, texture and form with many rewards and frustrations, like ripping out seams or weeds.

I am, at least, the fourth generation of quilters in my family and have been using a needle and thread since I was 8 years old. I have costume practicums and lots of garment construction experience throughout my personal sewing career. Having been business partners with my mother in our Quilt Shop for ten years, I not only know what my new customers concerns are, I'm familiar with multigenerational ideological conflict!
Territory: New England states
I have been in textile and manufacturing for many years in various positions selling and servicing accounts across North America. I am glad to be able to bring to New England customers the variety and support that E E Schenck provides. Having some quilt experience as well, I appreciate my customers love of quality fabric and notions, and know how UFO’s can build up. By and large quilters are the nicest business people – making my work fun and not a job. p>
